Voting in our OES Presidential Election

After informing ourselves about candidates and campaigning for them, we participated in voting for the President of OES today.

Here is the voting booth we used! We used ballots, marked our ballots in the booth and put our ballots in the ballot box.

We had so much fun participating in voting today! We can't wait to tally our votes tomorrow and see who we chose as President of OES!

Creating our Campaign Signs

In Social Studies, we have been studying why we were out last Tuesday for Election Day. We have learned all about elections and have heard from 3 older OES All*Stars that want to be President of OES. They have shared their opinions about recess, foods served at lunch and field trips with us. We have formed our opinions and today we created campaign signs to support our favorite candidate.

After we created our signs, we walked around the room and told our friends why we support the candidate we chose.

After sharing with friends individually, a few of us wanted to share with our class as a whole.

We are so excited to have our experience of voting tomorrow. We cannot wait to use a voting booth and practice exercising our right to vote!
