This week during reading, we specifically focused on talking about the 3 ways you can read a story. We read the same story all week and practiced the 3 ways to read. We read the pictures, we read the words, and on Thursday and Friday, we practiced retelling the story.
Today, we created puppets to use both at school and at home to practice retelling the story. Retelling the story is often a hard concept, because not only do you have to get the order of events right, but you have to remember important details as well! I was really impressed by my friends who retold the story for me today.
