Yesterday was such an exciting day!
We started off our day by discussing and writing about our spring breaks. Many of our friends had really fun trips and played a lot!
Then, I mentioned the big topic! Last year, my class worked so hard and behaved so well that Dr. Patterson let us have duck eggs! I shared this news with my friends and they could not believe it! I explained that maybe, just MAYBE :), if we worked hard, we could persuade Dr. Patterson to let us do it again!
We brain stormed! We talked about reasons we could give Dr. Patterson as to why we should get to have the ducks, as well as all the things ducks need to be taken care of! My friends already had a really good grasp of what it takes to be responsible and take care of ducks!
Then, it was time to get down to business! We had letters to write!

A group of friends took our letters up to Dr. Patterson, and here is what he said...
He said YES! We did it! We get to have duck eggs! We are SO excited!!! This is such a big unit and we learn so much. Stay tuned for our feathered friend pledge we will be taking with Dr. Patterson today.
