Field Trip to Strawberry Hill

Whew!!! What a fun day! We had so much fun despite the muddy pumpkin patch (maybe that made it even more fun!) and the rain at the end of our trip. We learned a lot about pumpkins and about the Strawberry Hill U.S.A. Pumpkin Patch!

First, we loaded the bus this morning to get to the pumpkin patch!

Once we got to the pumpkin patch, we got to go on a hayride!

On the hayride, we saw scarecrows! We got to push them out of the way for our hayride.

And THEN, we met Mr. Troll. Mr. Troll controls the gate into the farm. We asked him to open the gate very politely, and he opened it for us!

Inside the gate to the farm, we got to see all kinds of animals!

We also got to go inside the bee house! It was really neat getting to see all of the worker bees making honey.

And then, the big moment arrived! We each got to pick a pumpkin!

We had a hayride back to the corn maze after we picked our pumpkins...

The corn maze was a little extra special to me this year... it was a salute to American soldiers!

We had a lot of fun in the corn maze! We didn't find all colors, but we did find four of them! :) We ate lunch and headed back to school. We had so much fun!! Thank you to Strawberry Hill for hosting us on such a fun field trip.
