Career Day

What a fun morning! We spent our morning listening to vistors around our school discuss their careers and answer our questions about their career.

Here is a recap of our morning:

We started our morning listening to Mrs. Barfield, an author. She read us the book she wrote called Sully Bug. We loved meeting a real life author!

Next, we heard from Officer Clevenger from the Spartanburg County Sherriff's Department. We talked about different jobs police officers can do and how they help our community. We also learned about dialing 911 and tips to being safe while we trick-or-treat tonight.

Next, we listened to Brooke Pearson, a marketing coordinator for Zaxby's. We learned about the things we would need to know to be able to work at Zaxby's. We loved hearing from here and learning all about the different jobs within Zaxby's!

Last, we heard from Alex and Nicole, two registered nurses from Spartanburg Regional Hospital.  We learned about how we can stay safe from germs by washing our hands. We watched a cool demonstration about how soap protects us from germs.

We really enjoyed our morning thinking about our careers, and thinking about our futures. We are definitely not going to let drugs get in the way of our career so that we can believe, achieve and succeed our dreams!
