What Will the Wind Blow?

Today we answered the question, "What Will the Wind Blow?" as a part of our weather PBL. We held a discussion on windy weather and we made predictions on what we thought the wind would blow. Then, we found out for ourselves! We pretended WE were the wind and we had ten different stations around the room where we experimented to find out if wind would blow (move) it. We tested this with kleenex, a spoon, feathers, a straw, blocks, crayons, pencils and paper clips. It was pretty easy for us to know that the kleenex and feathers would blow in the wind, but what about the blocks? It was a big question up for debate.

Here are some pictures of us trying it out for ourselves. If you look closely you can see the objects moving in some of the pictures!

We had so much fun today testing out what the wind will blow. We can't wait to learn more during our weather PBL.
