Today in math, we used a hands-on (and yummy!) way to learn more about teen numbers. We have been focusing on teen numbers being "groups of ten" and "extra ones". We used pretzel sticks as "groups of ten" and M&Ms as "extra ones". When I called out a number, friends used their yummy snacks to represent the number.

Then, after we worked really hard and represented all of those tricky teen numbers, we got to enjoy our snacks!
